Today marks my 4 month anniversary of living in Southeast Asia. While I was supposed to be on a plane right now starting the 30+ hour journey home, I have decided to extend my trip until the beginning of December to continue traveling and working for Rustic. I know what you might be thinking “4 months and just 2 blog posts!” You’re right, it’s kind of pathetic. I apologize for my absence, but I struggle to sit at a computer when I am constantly surrounded by new landscapes and people. Southeast Asia is an incredible place filled with exotic foods, some of the friendliest people and breathtaking places. I have been fortunate to get kissed by an elephant, visit a refugee camp, sing karaoke on Chao Phraya river, deep water solo in Tonsai, bike around the pagodas of Bagan, fish with a bamboo pole in Inle Lake, see my best friend in the Philippines and have a child named after me. Each day brings new surprises and challenges. It has been an incredible and busy 4 months.
So while I have a short break from traveling before the next adventure, allow me to catch you up.
